Duffy Rolemodel Assembly

Today we had a Duffy role model assembly. Our role models were Nate and Lily. They where from the MAI FM show. Two key messages I learned were the more you read the more you get better at it, and from Nate, my key message was: as well playing games for 60 minutes, try and read for 60 minutes as well. I admired the way they both had and story to tell from the past and what they had to do to get there. It was a great Duffy assembly to end the day.    :)

Adam's shark

Today we had Adam from Sommerville come and join us for Art! We were making shark art, after reading "The Great White Man-Eating Shark" by Margaret Mahy. Adam really enjoyed doing Art with us. He was going to stay for five minutes but he ended up staying for half an hour! We loved having Adam with us. He is now part of or Room 9 family.
